The Life Groups of Calvary Chapel San Jacinto is a small group ministry designed to provide an environment for fellowship, prayer, and Bible study. Each Life Group is an extension of the main church and throughout the week groups of people in the community come together to meet in homes for Bible study, worship, prayer and fellowship.

We limit these small groups to ten so they will be an excellent way to get to know others in the church and build personal relationships. Although each fellowship may have its own distinct personality, a typical meeting of the Life Group would include:

1) Bible Study.  Merely hearing God’s Word is insufficient; we must apply it to our lives for there to be fruit.  Home Fellowships enable one opportunity to do this together.  We seek to apply the Bible’s teaching, review Sunday messages, discuss Christian books, and use a variety of other resources with the intention of growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2) Biblical Fellowship.  Genuine fellowship isn’t practical in a large crowd.  Life Groups provide a place where we can build intimate relationships, care for one another, and help each other grow in our relationship with God.

3) Prayer.  God has made us dependent on each other, and Life Groups provide a context where we can minister to each other with gifts that God has given us.  Meetings often include a time of prayer for one another and opportunities for individuals to use their gifts to edify others.
