About Us

Going...Making...Teaching

Calvary Chapel San Jacinto (CCSJ) began as a small group of people with a desire to worship the Lord and study together through His Word. Through the years, the small group of people has grown into a much larger group, but the committment to worship and the Word has remained the same. There seems to be many methods that churches employ to minister in their community, but we continue with the formula that the believers of the first century followed in Acts 2:32–47, 'And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. . . . and the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved."  That vision of the first century church helped CCSJ to lay its foundation and it is the same foundation it stands on today. Our church has grown in numbers of people and the facilities have changed to accomodate what God is doing. And likewise, the worship has changed over the years, but what hasn't changed is the commitment to the Great Commission where Jesus said "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20) Therefore, since Jesus has commanded us, we press forward so we will be Going...Making...(and) Teaching people about the Lord Jesus Christ as we join Him in making disciples.
